Monday evening, a missile launch was caught on camera by KCBS news helicopter in California. It looked like the launch came from out within the sea. It had been about 35 miles west of LA and north of Catalina Island. There were no FAA warnings or military reports to be found about a prepared missile launch.
Was the military responsible for the secret missile?
KFMB, the Columbia Broadcasting System station, spoke with both the Navy and Air Force. Both say the unknown missile did not originated from them. Col. Dave Lapan is a spokesman from the Pentagon. He said that “The operative word is unexplainable.” NORAD is “working to determine the exact nature of this even.” NORAD is the North American Defense Command. They also said, "from all indications, this had been not a launch by a foreign military."
