Hey guys, im dying of curiosity here, need help with my nintendo nes.?
So was packing up my nintendo the other day to make room for my second television. Anyway, i picked up the console and saw this odd part on the underside of the nes, it was detachable and had this... what seemed to be spot welded plastic shield over this rectangular hole. I was like wtf, i was wondering if anybody could give me a Little insight on what is for, or what the hell it is. Btw, the console was something way before i was born. Im just curiouse as to what its there for.

to be more specific, its the ones with the channels leading to it, its the rectangle with the rectangle groove in it, under the serial number labels.
remember how, sometimes, you had to blow on the nes cause for some reason, sometimes it wouldn't read the games?.. i think that part you're describing is just one of those vents for the air to run through the machine...cause aaaaalll nintendos have those ....if not they overheat
