Questions on Lift Price Great
We need to have the manhole in our driveway moved 10 ft to the yard. What is a fair price to have this done?
We are currently trying to sell our house and we had a plumber come out today as part of the inspection. The manhole is in our driveway and needs to be moved to the yard - which is about 10 feet. I am wondering what something like this will cost. The reason we need to move it is because the cover can't have holes in it since it is flush with the ground but without the holes in the cover, the downstairs toilet bubbles so to fix this, we need to have a cover that can let air in which means we would have to move it from the driveway so we can lift it out of the ground more. Any answers would be great.
The manhole cover we used to have had holes in it and once this was put on, it never bubbled. Now because we need it to pass inspection we put a cover with no holes, and now its bubbling again.
Do you still think its a venting issue and we don't need to move the manhole?

Price of moving the man hole itself will depend mainly on the depth.. Deep man holes can be extremely expensive but because its domestic and in all probability shallow you would probably be looking at about £2500 UK to move a manhole.. to vent from the inside probably £100 to £500 at most!depending on how easy it would be to adapt your system?
