Questions on Cleaner Chicago Pump
94 buick century. Hard crank, guzzles gas, engine bogs out when up 2 normal operating temp?
Hi. I own a 94 Buick Century. It has the 3.1L engine. It has just under 112,000 miles on it. I had the engine completely re-sealed. I replaced the fuel regulator, fuel pump and strainer and the fuel filter. I had the injectors cleaned professionally with a machine. Brand new spark plugs installed, starter and alternator are fine. Cable's replaced with plugs. Please help me. I can start the car and when it is really cold out (Chicago) the car takes off like a bat out of hell with just a light touch of the accelerator. When I lightly touch the break, the car stops on a dime. After about 20 minutes of driving and the temp needle gets to about a quarter or more, you have to give the engine a lot of gas to get going the same way as when the car is cold. The brake needs to be pushed almost to the floor at this point to stop from 50mph to about 20mph. I am burning gas like crazy. About $60 dollars a week of the cheap stuff. I am getting 15 mpg. Supposed 2 get 26mpg!. Please help me. Thanks.
Your INTAKE AIR TEMP SENSOR or ENGINE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR is bad and is making the computer send more fuel to the car than it needs. That's why it runs good when it's cold.
