Being Creative Can Shake Off Boredom
Many people have a problem with keeping boredom away. And this is true, in spite of the fact that technology has brought us much more things to do in the way of entertainment. Never has there been so many things at our fingertips to enjoy and keep us busy. Yet we still get bored very easily and tired of things quickly. Our attention spans are shorter, and our appreciation for entertainment has dulled.
The only thing worse than being bored while you have all these things, is facing the boredom without these things. At least if you have them, you know you can do them if you want. But if they are not there, then it seems the problem is a bit worse. You are stuck, even if you feel like doing one of the activities you think is boring. I experienced this lost feeling when I moved out of my parents house into my own apartment.
I moved a little sooner than I had planned, and was only able to bring a few of the things I owned, and a few things my parents let me have. The rest was to be delivered by my brother with his truck in about four days. That left me with very little to do for amusement. I did manage to bring my Ibanez acoustic electric guitar with me, so plucking around on that was a little comforting.
But soon, boredom with that set in, and I found myself staring at the walls, not really sure what to do with myself. I thought about taking a walk, but I was not real familiar with the neighborhood just yet, and was not into making small talk with strangers. I liked to draw and paint, and had my acrylic paint set with me. So I painted a picture or two, until that feeling passed as well.
I was really at a loss now. There was nothing to do but what I had already done, and to do it over and over was just too painful to think about. But then I had an idea. I went into the next room and found my brown boots and put them on. Then I took my paint set into the bathroom and began to paint my face like a hard rock musician. This was really fun, and soon my face was totally covered, and ready to be put on an album cover.
I pushed the dyson all floors vacuum cleaner my mother has stuck in the car over in front of my one chair. I hoisted my guitar onto my lap, propped my feet up on the top of the vacuum, and began to play. I fantasized I was in concert and girls were screaming and fainting. I had so much fun, I was there for hours, occasionally getting up and playing across the floor. Creativity flowed through me with ease.
My brother made it four days later, and by that time, I had put together five fantastic new songs that ended up being big hits when I played them for my friends. I had discovered something during that time about being creative, and taking advantage of time alone by exploring that creativity. I accomplished more in those few days than I had in months and months when I had all that entertainment at my fingertips. And I was now the entertainment for other people through my songs.

Should I be worried????
Ok I have been with my fiance for three years now. We just bought a house together. My question is we have a next door neighbor who has a man but he lives miles away from her. My finace has been talking to her a little more than I feel he should be. He has worked on her corvette for her but bitches at me when I need him to fix simple things on our family car. He is using one of her trucks today to get a engine hoist for his truck that is down. He seems more and more to be talking to her. Don't get me wrong he is a good guy and I have never thought he would be the unfaithfull type. My question is am I being to paranoid or do I have good reason to be upset.
We do not have children together but we do have my two that live with us.
Its ok to be friendly with neighbors but maybe this is too much. Confront him about it.. Or at least keep a close eye on him.. Good luck
