The Dell 3000cn printer is a color laser type that's ideal for a small workgroup of PCs. It carries with it some essential features an office can take advantage of to come up with quality printouts. Operating this machine is easy, but without sacrificing its performance. Because it comes competitively priced, an office that's budget-conscious will find this very practical. And when used with Dell 3000cn toner, this device will never fail to provide you with the highest quality documents possible.
Its form factor allows it to be placed on a desktop or just about any available surface capable of supporting its weight of 53 pounds. But because of this weight, moving it from spot to spot may be impractical. It measures 16.7 inches x 16.5 inches x 17 inches (W x D x H). Choosing a printer matching the furnishings of an office is important to maintain a cohesive look. Fortunately, it's available in midnight gray and ion silver that can go well with most other colors and furnishings.
A 300 MHz processor defines the performance of this machine. Black and white printing speed is set at 25 ppm (pages per minute), while color printing is at 5 ppm. These printing speeds, however, will depend on factors such as the contents of a document. Maximum optical resolution of 600 x 600 dpi (dots per inch) is sufficient to produce crisp details and lively colors each time.
Upon purchase, a 64 MB memory is installed. It may be expanded to a maximum of 576 MB, thanks to the fitted memory expansion slot. It has a combined media handling capacity of 900 sheets. Supported media sizes are extensive, including letter, legal, executive, folio, statement, A4, A5 and JIS-B5. Media types which can be handled include plain paper, card stock, transparencies, envelopes and others. An optional auto-duplex unit can help in meeting output demands and conservation of supplies at it provides two-sided printing at once.
Connecting this machine to a network is easy with the fitted Ethernet 10/100 BaseT port. Window Crank Handle Install?
Ok, here's the deal. I had to remove the driver's interior door panel on my '97 Mercury Tracer, which requires removing the manual window crank handle. I have a removal tool and it was really easy to get off. BUT, once I was ready to reinstall the handle, I couldn't get the stupid thing back on. There is the plastic window crank, a plastic washer thing that goes between the window crank and the door panel, and then an infuriating little metal retaining clip that secures the handle onto the window crank rod. After an hour of frustration and getting hit in the face by the retaining clip popping out of my pliers, I gave up. I was only able to get the retaining clip halfway on. The handle seemed to be secured on the rod, but the clip was still sticking partway out and that really bugged me. Is there some special tool or trick for reinstalling the retaining clip into the crank handle and getting it all back onto the rod it snaps on to? HELP!
Randy_ishere nailed it. You install the clip on the handle, then press it onto the shaft, and give it a quick pop with your palm. You DON'T try to install the clip with the handle on the door! That's like trying to thread a needle with the spool end first, not the open end. If you look at the end of the shaft on the door, you'll notice the end is tapered, it forces the clip open so it will slide on, then lock in the groove behind it.
