I find it very painful scooting along in line at the lifts with my leading foots binding set at a right angle to my legs natural position. On the other hand if I set my lead binding at any other angle than 90, my speed and maneuverability suffers. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a binding which allows you to adjust the angle of your front binding while your boot is still in the binding. This way you could come down the slope set at 90, reach down and set it to 0 degrees angle and get in line for the lift without wrenching your knee.
You are referring to the "SWIVLER", a binding rotation device Its an attachment that goes underneath your existing bindings, and allows you to do what you said (turn your bindings when you get to the lift line). I haven't personally used one before, but I've seen other people use them before. They look helpful, but in my opinion would seem like it adds unnecessary weight to your setup. I've seen a couple for sale on Ebay at times, but you could also ask around at snowboard shops and see if they sell them.
