Can you put your truck on a car lift or jack stands, put it in gear and run it?
I am trying to find the location of a noise somewhere on my truck, but it only happens 0-20mph while driving, not while reving it in park. So can you jack up the rear of the truck and caulk the front tires and put it in gear? Or can I put it on a car lift (with the lift points only on the truck body) and run the back tires? Can you do that without harm to the truck? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.
Ok, so I tried it on 2 jack stand, just the rear, but the back wheels woulnt spin? Sounded like it was braking while I acceler. It was in D (drive) im wondering if the antilock brakes are stoping it or maybe it needs be be lifted on all 4 wheels (thus a level surface) inorder for rear wheels to actually spin. Any thoughts?
yeah im unsure if it is comming from the front-middle or middle-back. And if I can get it on a lift and it to work then that would really help.
