Some interesting info about High Speed Clamp
Injection Moulding Machine
What is Plastic Injection Molding?
Injection molding is a molding process whereby a heat-softened plastic material is forced from a cylinder into a relatively cool cavity giving the article the specified shape. Injection molding is a manufacturing method for making parts from plastic material. Molten plastic is injected at high strain into a mold, which is the inverse of the specified shape. The mould is made by a mildew maker from metal, often either steel or aluminum, and precision-machined to type the options of the desired part. Injection molding may be very extensively used for manufacturing a variety of elements, from the smallest part to entire body panels of cars.
The process of plastic injection molding
An injection molding machine consists of three basic components, the mould plus the clamping and injection units. The clamping unit is what holds the mold under stress throughout the injection and cooling. Mainly, it holds the two halves of the injection mildew together.
During the injection section, plastic material, usually within the type of pellets, are loaded into a hopper on prime of the injection unit. The pellets feed into the cylinder the place they are heated till they attain molten form (consider how a sizzling glue gun works here). Inside the heating cylinder there's a motorized screw that mixes the molten pellets and forces them to finish of the cylinder. Once sufficient material has gathered in entrance of the screw, the injection course of begins. The molten plastic is inserted into the mold via a sprue, whereas the screw controls the pressure and speed.
The dwelling phase consists of a pause within the injection process. The molten plastic has been injected into the mould and the stress is applied to make sure all the mildew cavities are filled. Then the plastic is allowed to chill to its solid form inside the mold. The clamping unit is then opened, which separates the two halves of the mold. An ejecting rod and plate eject the finished piece from the mold.
Extrusion
A machine used to extrude supplies is similar to the injection-molding machine explained above. A motor turns a thread, which feeds granules of plastic by means of a heater. The granules melt right into a liquid, which is forced by way of a die, forming a protracted 'tube like' shape. The extrusion is then cooled and varieties a stable shape. The shape of the die determines the form of the tube.
Advantages of Injection Molding
- High tolerances are repeatable
- Wide range of materials may be used
- Low labor costs
- Minimal scrap losses
- No use to complete components after molding
Disadvantages of Injection Molding
- Costly gear investment
- Operating prices may be high
- Components should be designed with specific molding consideration.
Overview
Injection molding is a relatively new way to manufacture parts. It's a quick process and is used to produce massive numbers of equivalent items from excessive precision engineering parts to disposable shopper goods. Injection molding is often utilized in mass-manufacturing and prototyping. It produces such small merchandise as bottle tops, sink plugs, kids's toys, containers, mannequin kits, disposable razors and elements of cameras. The method can even mould such giant objects as dingy hulls and equipment automotive physique shell parts.

Questions on High Speed Clamp
Is a front derailleur compatible with a 9 speed cassette also compatible with one with 7 gears?
If not I need one that is with a high clamp, 48T, and that fits all seat post tubes, and preferably under 50$. Any suggestions?
I need dual pull too because I cant tell the difference between the two.
Most front derailleurs are under $50 so that should pose no problem.
There is no "universal fit" front derailleur but many do come with shims that may be used for smaller tubing sizes.
The last part is a bit tricky. 9 speed bikes have narrower chains than 7 speed so the 7 speed cages are usually wider. Fit and quality of shifting is on a case-by-case basis. I would say that if you are using a 7 speed FRONT on a 9 speed REAR then it should be OK but shifting may be sloppy but if you are using a 9 speed FRONT with a 7 speed REAR it might not work at all... but again, it depends.
Regarding top pull vs. bottom pull, this is easy to determine. If the cable comes from the bottom of the bike and attaches to the derailleur it is a bottom pull. If the cable comes from the top of the bike it is a top pull.
